Meet Hockey Instructor Grant Holliday

Tim Turk Hockey senior instructor Grant Holliday was born in 1990 in Toronto, Ontario. Grant boasts an impressive and strong educational background for hockey, as well as professional playing experience.

For his post-secondary education, Grant attended Queens University in Kingston, Ontario. There, he completed an honors degree in Physical and Health Education. On top of that, Grant is a certified strength and conditioning specialist. Because of his education, Grant has extensive and critical knowledge on the physical and technical aspects of being an elite athlete.

Experience

To partner with his broad knowledge, Grant also has practical playing and coaching experience. He played for the Federal Hockey League’s (FHL’s) Danville Dashers in the 2015-2016 season, and he also played shortly for the University of Toronto’s hockey team the following season. Grant also has twelve years of teaching experience across all levels of hockey—-from tykes all the way up to the PRO.

Today, Grant works as a power skating and skills coach for the Powerskating Academy in addition to being a senior instructor for Tim Turk Hockey. Grant uses his strong academic background and his experience as a hockey player and coach to provide top-notch instruction to all his students. Grant makes a fine addition to the Tim Turk Hockey team of instructors, and we’re proud to have him work with us.
